A study of packaging design. I wanted to focus on making food packaging retain a more minimalist aesthetic. My goal was to find the middle ground between current packaging consumption and eventually moving away from it to encourage less waste. By being selective with the information being presented on the packaging and removing unique branding, there is more reliance on people's loyalty to brands and accessible information online to make an informed decision earlier in the shopping process rather than later. While packaging could never be completely eradicated, cutting down how much time people spend in stores looking at everything could cause attachments to packaging to be broken and move into a new phase of 'anti-packaging'.
